2. Question 1: From this question I
wanted to find out the genders of the
people that had done the questionnaire
so I can click on there questionnaires
that they did and see if there was a link
between the answers I received from
females and the answers I received
from males. This shows that there were
a lot more females that answered my
questionnaire than males.
Question 1
3. Is this question the majority of the people that had
answered my questionnaire were aged from 16-21
and were aged 16 +. This would help to see the
main costumers that would buy magazines are
aged 16 – 36.
This suggests that I need to aim my magazine
roughly at this age group because this is the age
group where my main consumers will probably be
because this age group buys the most magazines.
Question 2
4. In this question I analysed and wanted to
find out who has the highest income in
each persons house hold who answered
my questionnaire. I made this question
optional as it can be seen as a very
personal question and some people may
not want to answer this question. But I did
this question to help it link to question 8. I
found out from linking both these
questions that the people had a very high
income in the household were willing to
pay a higher price for a magazine.
Question 3
5. In this question I wanted to find out what ethnic
background the audience who answered my
questionnaire were so I could know if to do a
British based magazine or an Asian based
magazine. From the results I got more or my
audience were Asian so I have decided to do an
‘Indian classical’ music magazine as this what
my main audience for my questionnaire was so
I have decided it’s best to do an Indian classical
music magazine
Question 4
6. In this question I asked what musical
genre my audience listened to and from
the results I found out that most popular
was ‘pop’ and the least popular was
‘Classical’ and ‘Dance’. I thought that
the reason why these were the least
popular is because there isn’t enough
information out there based on these
types of music genres. So I have chosen
to do classical music to make audiences
more aware of this type of genre and so
it can be more recognised and known to
a wider range of audiences.
Question 5
7. In this question I wanted to find out what
types of artists the audience listened to. I
wanted to see how generations had changed
and how had the music changed depending
on age. What I found out was that the
audience that were older listened to music
artists that were quite such as: Jackson 5
and the modern generation listened to music
artists such as Beyoncé. This gave me an
insight to what sorts of artists my audience
listened to and from the results I can see
that it was varied.
Question 6
8. In this question I asked the audience what extra
features would they expect to see on the cover of
any magazine that they would purchase. From
the results we see that most people would expect
to see some sort of accessories as extra features
on the front of a magazine along with other
items. This has suggested to me that make my
magazine sell more I need to include an extra
feature that will make the audience want to buy
it and will grab there attention when window
shopping.
Question 7
9. From this question I wanted to know the price
that customers would pay for my magazine.
From the results I got from this questionnaire I
can gather that the best price an audience will
pay for a magazine is ranged from £1-£2. This
has given me the idea that I need to range my
magazine price between those figures as it’s the
price most customers are willing to pay for a
magazine. This means if I put it as a similar
price will get more customers than having it at a
higher price.
Question 8
10. From this question I wanted to find out
what the audience reading any magazine
expects to see on a double page spread.
The results show that they expect text and
images and not just the one. This has told
me that for that my magazine double page
spread including both texts and images is
vital for my magazine double page spread.
Question 9
11. From this question, I wanted to find out if
audiences for any magazine felt that they
knew a sufficient amount on the music
industry. From the results it tells us that
there only the odd few people who feel as
if they don’t know enough information on
the music industry and everyone else
knows at least a bit of information and feel
as if they know a lot about it. I asked this
question to see if people bought magazines
just on the basis of wanting to find out
more on the music industry or just because
the magazine looked appealing.
Question 10
