This document provides instructions for configuring shipping charges in ShopTab and PayPal for various shipping options including flat rate, weight-based, amount of purchase, number of units, and store pickup. It explains how to set up flat rate shipping costs within product listings in ShopTab and how to configure the other shipping options within the shipping calculations settings in the PayPal profile. Buyers will then see the appropriate shipping costs applied at checkout based on the shipping rules set up.
2. Flat Rate Charges
You may set-up shipping for flat
rate shipping inside of your
product listings within ShopTab.
Set the cost for the shipping
charge for the first of this product
purchased.
You have the option of setting
the cost in the event more than
one of this product is selected in
the cart. This field is not
required.
Example shown: The first product
would cost $5.50 to ship and any
additional items would be $2.50
for this product.
3. Other Shipping Options
All shipping options other than flat rate are based
upon configuration choices within PayPal.
Your country of origin will determine the options
available to you. The options vary widely.
You should test all of these configurations after you
complete the settings with test purchases in your
Facebook shop.
Configuration options shown: Weight-based, Amount of
Purchase, Number of Units and Store Pick-Up.
4. Weight Based Charges
You must designate the weight
in the product listing within
ShopTab.
This weight will be passed to
PayPal for each product when
the buyer proceeds to checkout.
Set the weight – don’t include
the Lbs or Kgs in this field.
Log into your PayPal account,
select the “Profile” option and
then the “My Selling Tools”
option.

Select to “Update” your Shipping
calculations.
Select an existing rule or to create a
new one for domestic or international
buyers.
6. Weight Based Charges
Status: Select to make this rule “Active”
Country and Shipping Region: The
currency will be set, select any region
and then select “NO” for using the
transactions shipping calculator – we
want PayPal to set the charge below.
Shipping Methods: Choose the name, the
time of the shipment and pick “By
Weight” for the shipping rates to be
based on.
Complete the table for your shipping
rates and select “Save Changes.”

Leave all fields blank in the
product listing within ShopTab
Log into your PayPal account,

Quantity” for the shipping rates to be
based on.
Complete the table for your shipping
rates and select “Save Changes.”
13. Store Pick-Up
Choose to create a new shipping option.
Select the “Pickup” or “Store Pickup”
option and designate the delivery time.
Shipping rates based on: Choose “Total
order amount” for the shipping rates to
be based on.
Complete the table for your shipping
rates so that the rate is $0 and select
“Save Changes.”
NOTE: You may have store pick-up active
with another shipping option at the same
time. The client will be prompted to
select their desired option.
14. Check What Is Active, Check a Purchase
Once you have created your
rules, check to make sure the
rules you want to use are
“Active.”
Go back into your store on
Facebook or in the app “Preview”
and simulate a number of
purchases to see if the charges
are being applied as you desired.
