Election
system in
India
WHAT IS THE NEED FOR
ELECTIONS ??
Usually wealthy and high caste people
or those living in majority don’t
believe that a democratic decision
will make any difference because
they have the absolute power that is
-money power . They are dominant
over the minor sections and hence
the poorest people suffer from
inequality , discrimination.
When it comes to the economically and
socially backward people this idea
changes because they want someone who
would change their living conditions . The
only thing that can bring a difference is
our – elections!
Role of election
commission
The president of India
appoints the EC . The
election commission is the
most powerful committee
when seen from the side
that it regulates the entire
election procedure. It can
order re-polling in case
malpractices takes place and
Guide in a correct manner.
A cautious leader who always thinks for the
welfare of the nation.
An intelligent person who speaks in a very effective
way, whose speeches deliver a sense of brotherhood
and who can help develop our economy.
One who has only and only one aim – to see the
country in the column of developed nations.
Who can remove poverty, inferiority among people,
and most importantly talks about the positive
traits.
SOMEWHERE WE WISH TO
HAVE A LEADER WHO CAN:
Scene 4
of voters
 The actual no. of voters are just shocking. The
urban population seems to be disconnected from
the whole procedure. A little effort is only made by
the people living in towns and villages. Then also,
the people living in remote areas and the
inhabitants of almost all the tribal regions are
unknown from this system.
 The main cause for all this is the lack of knowledge.
The literacy rates have always been poor since the
independence.
 The situation has been better in the recent years.
India
Before
Independence
Before 1950 as we know there were no
elections…. So what happened as there were
no elections :-
People could not choose their leaders
No job opportunities
They did not have freedom to express their
views
In short we can say that people did not have
any rights to protect their dignity.
India before
1950
Why do people want a
change?
Changes are loved
everywhere and by
everyone. In a survey done
by the national agencies it
was revealed that around
forty four percent of the
people want change in the
why is it so ?
Actually, people have been
tired of listening stories on
a regular basis i.e. Stories
about scams and all those
grafts! At some moment you
feel like doing something
against this. that’s why
maximum people are
 Change will only be brought when there is a
noticeable participation and awareness
among people.
 Your one vote casted can decide our future
leader.
 Your vote is a valuable one ,don’t
underestimate the power of one vote.
 If you demand change, be a part of it.
