Aircraft structure: outside shell and heat exchanges
The aircraft structure composition is accurately reproduced, with particular
attention paid to material layers (i.e. thickness and properties)
This thermal model allows to consider the various heat loads applied to the
aircraft, such as:
• Solar radiation on the outside skin
• Aircraft radiation to the ambient
• External air forced convection
• Lumped heat inputs: galley equipment, In Flight
Entertainment (IFE), avionics, passengers, batteries
