3. Origins
• The Running of the bulls was created as part
of the larger San Fermin festival.
• It is unknown when it was started but
evidence was found as far back as the 13th
century.
• The first time citizens from different countries
participated in the bull run was in the 17th and
18th centuries.
4. When it Takes Place
• It takes place 7th-14th in the month of July
during the San Fermin Festival.
• The bull-run takes place every day at 8am. The
runners need to show up at 7:30 and must
wear red clothing.
5. The Events
• It is a event in the San Fermin Festival.
• Other events include the not as widely-known
Tomatino Fight, Riau Riau, and Gigantes.
• On the last day they throw a huge festival to
end the 7 days of celebration, it is called Pobre
de Mi.
6. The Importance
• It is a joining together to celebrate religion.
• The San Fermin festival is a religious festival
for the patron saint of Pamplona and Navarra.

Texua Apple.

9. The Rules
1. Anyone under 18 cannot participate.
2. Do not climb on or over fences.
3. Do not hide in doorways dead-ends or corners before run
starts.
4. Those who are under the influence of alcohol will be kept
away from the race.
5. Do not carry anything while running.
6. Participants must dress appropriately.(San Fermin
Costumes and correct footwear)
7. Do not distract, grab onto, harass or mistreat the animals.
8. Do not take photos from within the course.
9. Follow all instructions from authorities.
10. All participants should gather at Cuesta de Santo Domingo
