I have a Ph.D. in Education awarded by the University of Warwick, UK in 2000. I have worked at a number of British universities including Warwick, Birmingham, Institute of Education (University of London), South Bank University , the University of Sheffield, and currently work at the National University of Ireland, Galway. I have directed Ed.D. programmes for higher education professionals. I now work on PgCert Teaching & Learning in Higher Education, and a PgDip and MA in Academic Practice.
Previous to entering academia I worked as a primary school teacher and community educator.
