7. Brief history
Manchester began expanding in the 19th century because of the textile manufacturing during the industrial revolution. In the 20th century there was a
decline of importance to industrial industry. So Manchester rebranded themselves to a post industrial city, with multiple sporting, broadcasting and
educational institutes.

8. Existing advertising posters
I found two pre-existing advertising posters for the Manchester
science museum, they are both in the same advertising campaign,
I can this by the color scheme of them both, and the typography
that was used. The first poster has a black background and
colorful writing and imagery, this makes them stand out more and
look more vibrant. There is also a lot of free space in this poster,
this makes it look more simple and less crowded than if it had lots
of text all over it. The typography that they used on both of the
posters looks quite high-tech and modern, this goes with the
theme of science throughout both of the posters.
The second poster is the opposite to the first in the way that the
colours have been presented, the text is white and more plain in
color than the background, and the background is bright vibrant
colours. With the background they did blur the image so that it
would be easier to read what the text says, however it is difficult
to read the smaller writing at the bottom of the page due to the
colours.
