St. Elizabeths East is approximately 170 acres of primarily publicly-owned land, it represents one of the largest single redevelopment opportunities in the District. The area is located in the Congress Heights neighborhood on the east side of Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Avenue SE in Ward 8 in the District of Columbia. Together, DCOP and DDOT are working with community stakeholders and residents to create a financially feasible master plan and an improved transportation network.
