To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing on behalf of Ms. Steffany Ramos.
I have known Ms. Ramos since August 2012 when she was enrolled as a student in my Genres of
Media Production course in the Department of Media Studies and Production at Temple
University. In this course, she excelled as a producer, writer, director and editor of the
documentary film Give Me Liberty at My Death. This documentary would go on to win 3rd
Place/Long Form video at the MSP Awards as well as an Official Sel ection pick for Comcast’s
Philly In Focus series. The following semester, she enrolled in my Producing and Directing
course, where she co-produced the pilot episode of The Valley, a half-hour drama. Both of
these pieces were of such high quality that they were chosen to air on Temple University’s cable
television station, TUTV. Steffany, along with her production team on The Valley, were one of
the most organized, professional and successful teams that I have seen in many years of
teaching this course.
Outside of class, Ms. Ramos and I have remained in touch. I have hired her as a production
assistant on my own creative work and have found her to be a wonderful and reliable colleague.
I know, beyond the classroom, that she is a talented, thoughtful, and skilled media professional.
She is an excellent communicator, she is kind, and she is trustworthy. Above all else, she has a
creative mind and a sharp eye for strong content development, both on location and off. She
possesses a passion and drive to be a part of television, film and media and I have seen first
hand how committed she is to her work in the field. I know she will apply this same
commitment, dedication and creative passion to her further pursuits.
I give Ms. Ramos my highest recommendation.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Thank You,
