Security - The bottom line is that no hosting company will ever be able to guarantee that they will be no confidentiality breaches of your virtual law office data. Translate this from the cloud into the physical world. While they are insured up to a point, even your other business relationships, such as your firm’s bank or your physical storage facility where your law office paper files are stored, cannot guarantee 100% that there will never be a breach of security in some form whether it’s a human breach or a natural disaster, such as a hurricane.
- These concerns are not that different from those of a traditional law practice. Adhere to daily best practices for the use of the technology
- Access to Justice - cuts down on the cost but also the intimidation factor, travel, time off work, needing childcare, etc.
