Hello Macy’s / Shiseido cosmetic recruiters,my name is Stephen. I sincerely appreciateyour
Millennia Malls cosmetic department manager Reggie Wright. He kindly,humbly and efficiently
directed me how to set up an interview with your team, so I can reenter the cosmetic industry.
David Dus,is a visual manager atyour store in New Mexico. David used to rent a home, which
my husband and I owned, and sincethen, he has spoken well of his position with Macy’s.I have
decided to interview once lasttime to serve the people and the cosmetic industry.
My goal is to draw attention to Macy’s cutting edge fashion ideas.Macy’s,havea history for
takingprovocativerisks,which haveconsequently succeeded delivering their customers, the
world’s best products and services.Today’s world class shoppers,expect nothing less than a
professional color artistand skin careadvisor to deliver their beauty services.They know that it
takes a healthy body, mind and spirit, to ignitetheir physical gifts,into a blazeof beauty. It is
my mission to help your team win, and Shiseido’s position ismy opportunity to prove my work.
I understand the Macy’s cosmetic job description. I havepreviously performed these service
duties, accomplishing my personal and team sales goals.I trained and freelanced with Shiseido,
Christian Dior, Revlon and Halston. For ten years,I loved working together with these vendors
and their world classshoppers,in Chicago’s and Miami’s luxury stores.
My cosmetic career peaked when I interviewed for a makeup artistposition with Fashion and
portraitphotographer Victor Scribneski.He had Estee Lauder’s Cliniquemakeup account.Victor
advised me to join a union to work on his ads.One week later,my husband was transferred to
Miami. I happily chooseto leave the cosmetics industry;in order to meet the needs of my
family.I have yearned to complete my cosmetic career ever since.I am highly motivated to help
Macy’s.Since I left cosmetics and lived a bit, I realizethat lifeis precious,and that I have but a
shorttime to win at contributing my gifts of talent, to help people in business.
My visual design education,has helped retail customers enjoy buying visual products with
me for 19 years. I learned that all customers areoverwhelmed with color selection.I use color
scheme design concepts, to beautifully organizeany visual project. The customer see great
results,they trust my selection choices and allow me to help them purchasegroupings of luxury
makeup, skincareand associated accessories atluxury prices. The customer keep returningand
give me referrals.
My painting/coloreducation allows meto do great makeup applications. I apprenticed every
week for eight years with my teacher Charles Vickery.Charles sold paintingsworldwide,and
was educated at the Art Institute of Chicago.Charles taughtme to design beautiful paintings
and murals,and work with colors.
My Interior Design and Graphic Art classes atOrlando’sInternational Academy of Design &
Technology, helped me with makeup design, by teaching me to do animated color portraits.
Earning a certificate,for Cosmetology and Esthetics at New York’s ChristineValmy Facial
Salon School for Makeup /Skin Care & Franchising,helps me with product knowledge, facials
and selling.
I managed merchandise,at Orlando’s Expo’s Design Center, until they closed.I received merit
honors for trainingthe employees how to use my stockroom planogramdesigns, to increaseour
department’s sales by 40%.
I have taken pride, survivingtherecession and “Making Shoppinga Pleasure“at Publix since
