I am a versatile and accomplished designer with over
twenty years experience in the creative industry from
the days of copy cameras, scalpels, spraymount and
Rapidographs to the present digital era.
I’ve worked on a wide range of jobs including b/w and
full colour press/trade ads, brochures, POS, packaging
and print for a wide variety of clients both large and small.
This included one blue chip company where I was involved
in the full media product launch of a new thermoplastic.
Working at a reprographics house in Leeds taught me the
skills needed for preparing artwork for digital output to film,
scanning, photo retouching, cutouts, image manipulation,
colour balancing, producing Chromalins, liasing with clients.
It was also invaluable in teaching me the importance of
accuracy and close attention to detail required of the work.
It’s a continuing feature of my work and something I take
pride in.

hobbies & interests
I am avid motorcyclist, out most weekends during the warm
months and on quite a few of the cold ones as well.
As a member of a local motorcycle club I helped raise funds
for local charities with in excess of over £20,000 raised for the
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance alone. A sponsored bike ride from
from Land’s End to John ‘O’ Groats also raised over £1,500 for
the local baby unit.
A regular bike tourer, my last two trips have been around
Ireland and Scotland. The next one planned for the Normandy
coast and, at some future point, the Moto Club De Faro Rally
on the Algarve coast.
Other intests include typography, design, current affairs,
politics, history, music, films, socialising.
