IOTA-Global is delighted to have been chosen by the Norwegian Defence Research Organisation (FFI),
the research arm of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, to assist and advise in the use and future
development of Information Operations for Norwegian national defence.
IOTA Global will work with FFI-project 1368, ‘Cyber and Information Operations in a New Security
Environment’, and will supervise FFI in undertaking two specific studies involving Influence and Target
Audience Analysis
As part of the project launch, in Oslo on 2 June 2015, General Sveere Diesen (the former Chief of the
Norwegian army) spoke of the growing importance of Information Operations, the absolute need to
understand the motivations for audiences behaviours and the potential cost efficiency of IO compared
with conventional kinetic operations.
Cdr Steve Tatham, Director of Operations at IOTA-Global, said he was “delighted to be contracted to
assist the Norwegian Government. Following on from our recent major contract with the Canadian
Government and NATO this was further proof of IOTA-Global’s world reputation for excellence”.
