 To control and manage blasting and painting activities at workshop
and site.
 To supervise the paint functions and 5 sub-contractors by planning,
scheduling, assigning, and monitoring the work of assigned staff.
Key contributions:
 Successfully trained & supervised peak time 150 workers (foreman,
blaster, painter, helper) to blast and paint for 100,000 m2
piping,

2. JOB DESCRIPTION
 Supervision blasting/painting at workshops
 Responsibilities:
 To work directly and coordinate with sub-contractor ’s engineers, project manager, QC, foremans, painters,
helpers to control all blasting and painting activities of workshop to ensure follow procedure and specification
and archieve high progress production.
 To make plan (manpower planning, cost control, overall in-charge of blasting and painting).
 To hire, coach, review, supervise, and terminate assigned employees, or makes effective suggestions and
recommendations that are given particular weight regarding the employment status of assigned employees.
 To schedule, assign, and plan the work of paint shop personnel performing a variety of painting projects.
 To plan and develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of painting expenditures and
procedures for equipment maintenance.
 To estimates material and labor.
 To monitor the acquisition and use of materials.
 To maintain time, payroll, and material records and submits reports as required.
 To train or inform employees of new work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations, and work
policies.
 To ensure budgeting guidelines are met; prioritize shop expenditures to stay within budget; assist in
preparation of capital and operations budgets.
 To read and understand technical specifications, prepare job-list, work schedule, plan material take off and
manpower of yard.
 To cooperate with project manager appropriate procedures and schedule to complete the job.
 To train workers how to mix paint, prepare surface, check WFT, DFT…
 To check material (piping, fitting, flange, valve…) and painting system code before and after painting.
 To check surface preparation, DFT and after that invite QC inspector to check and release material from
workshop to site for erection.
 To create and send daily/weekly painting progress report to project management and client.
 To calculate progress report and confirm painting progress and send it to project controller for payment.
 To take care painting touchup activities at site.
 Responsibilities:
 To order the material required as per material take off and co-ordinate with purchase department for timely
delivery of the material.
 To take responsibility for minimum wastage of material and balance material to be accounted and returned to
store at the end of the project.
 To lead and supervise more than 150 workers (foreman, painter, helper) for painting touchup activities at site.
 To train workers how to mix paint, how to apply paint, how to prepare surface before applying paint material.
 To ensure good quality work and perfect safety. Maintain good housekeeping and safety at all times. Ensure
all workers follow safe work procedures at all time.

3.  To check dew point, relative humidity %, substrate temperature for suitable of blasting and coating. Check
and monitor all painting/ coating related works and ensure all final products meet in accordance with company
procedure, client requirement and international codes.
 To make catch up plan, production norm, rate of progress.
 To communicate with main contractor and client to solve all painting activities at site.
 To take care equipment identification (marking name, number, description for equipment)
( designed by Corel& Adobe Illustrator CS6, cut by cutting machine Mimaki by myself)
 To take care TML ( thickness measurement location) 15,000 points for piping and equipment.
 To take care piping identification by installation stickers.
 To prepare method statement & JHA blasting and painting and submit document to client.
