Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am currently employed as a design technician working for Clarke Telecom in Manchester
working primarily on Beacon & Non-Beacon Designs for TEF & VF, MBNL and the Darwin
project for Nokia. I have also been responsible for the production of drawing templates for
new projects. In addition to a strong understanding of the build process I have built up a
robust knowledge of the various technologies employed by the main operators including
ICNIRP standards.
Previously, whilst working for CAIP as a senior designer, I also conducted several site surveys,
prepared the MSV reports and produced the final design drawings.
I was responsible for all design related work (telecoms, Solar Farm Design & architectural)
integrating M & E layouts, electrical schematics and structural design to the final design and
subsequent submission to building control.
I have also worked directly with Arqiva on various sites including ‘project sunshine’ and have
received full Arqiva drawing standards training.
In addition to my telecoms experience, I am an experienced architectural designer and solar
PV specialist with experience in both domestic and large scale design/ planning and
implementation. I am also a NVQ level 3 and 17th edition qualified electrician credited with
installing over 25 systems myself, mainly on medium to large scale solar PV schemes,
although I have been responsible for both roof & ground mounted systems ranging from
1.5kw through to 10MW and have recently completed several installations for educational
establishments.
I have over twenty years’ experience of CAD software especially Autocad (2D & 3D) but have
also used Microstation, Vectorworks and Revit, Architectural desktop and 3D design packages
such as Studio Max, Sketch up and of course Photoshop. I have used the latter for the
creation of architectural photomontages and visualisations including an animated demo reel
of a care home/spa and another image, 'Briar Cottage' was featured on 'Trevor McDonald
Tonight' in May ‘09.
I look forward to hearing from you when any suitable positions become available.
Yours sincerely,
Stuart Bates-Lacy
Design Consultant,
S.B. L. Drawing Services.
