Instructions for SOC/DSOC
Exam Details
SUPERVISOR RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION
National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and
Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh is the Examination
Conducting Authority for the above said examination.
SUPERVISOR RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION – 2022 shall
be held on 25/09/2022 (Sunday) in one session i.e.
11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
100 Multiple choice/ objective type questions.
The candidate has to mark his/her response on an
Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet.
Important Timings
Note :The staff assigned for Invigilation duty shall NOT carry any mobile phone / electronic
gadgets inside the Examination Hall.
Exam Duration- 120 min
Exam Timings 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Invigilator reporting time : 7 AM ( biometric attendance compulsory before 7 AM and after 1
PM)
Candidate Entry Closes at 11 AM (No candidate shall be allowed to enter the examination
hall under any circumstances after the start of the examination. i.e. 11:00 AM.)
Important Instructions
No candidate shall move out of the exam hall until the invigilator has ensured the collection & Count of OMR after the
full exam time is over.
No candidate is allowed to go outside the room during the exam unless any medical emergency .In such emergencies,
contact your SOC.
Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml) and Personal transparent water bottle is allowed to take in the exam hall. Any other
stationary such as calculator, watch, pen etc. is not allowed.
Biometric attendance shall be the responsibility of the invigilator.
The staff assigned for Invigilation duty shall ensure that mobile jammer is on & functioning properly in the
examination room. If any deficiency is found in this regard, he/she should inform immediately to the Centre
Superintendent. The jammer should be on from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Important Instructions
• ‘ABSENT’ in the attendance sheet must be marked using a red pen in ‘capital letters’.
• On the OMR sheet, the invigilator must ensure that the fields marked as ‘*’are mandatorily filled by the
candidate and are correct. Only upon the verification of these for corrections, the invigilator shall affix the
signature.
• After the exam starts, the attendance must be marked up to first 20 minutes i.e. (From 11 AM to 11:20 AM)
• Please note that invigilator affixes signature and name on the OMR Sheet of the candidate as it is mandatory
for the evaluation of the OMR of the candidate.
• Instruct the candidates to carefully fill the information on the OMR sheet as OMR sheet shall not be replaced
in case on any errors.
• The candidate can take used question paper and upper portion of E-Admit Card with him/her.

Before the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines
• Reporting of invigilators ( Meanwhile SOC shall collect the box containing OMR, Question Papers , Attendance
Sheet & other materials from the Main Control Room (30-107) Admission Block basement)
• Allocation of Rooms to the invigilators
• Instructions to the Invigilators.
• To coordinate between the officials and Observers/Supervisors deputed by NITTTR, Chandigarh.
• To ensure the Start of examination is carried out in a smooth, fair and transparent manner.

• Carefully read out the INSTRUCTIONS TO INVIGILATORS and give directions to the personnel involved
with the examination to follow all the guidelines as mentioned.
•
• To verify that all the boxes containing question paper booklets and OMR answer sheets are sealed intact.
All necessary provisions must be made for maintaining the security and secrecy of examination material
under all circumstances.
• Invigilator must be instructed that every candidate is given one ball point pen (contained in the box).
• Invigilator must also be instructed that Candidates are given Question Paper Booklet, OMR Answer
Sheet according to their Roll Nos. as Question Paper Booklet No., OMR Answer Sheet No. and
Candidate’s Roll No. are same.

Opening of Sealed Box containing OMR Answer Sheets and Question Paper Booklets
• Sealed box of OMR answer sheets and Question Paper Booklets will be opened only after
deposition of mobile phones by all Exam staff in the safe box in the Control Room at the
examination centre. Only Observer / Supervisor deputed by NITTTR, Chandigarh will keep mobile
phone with them for any emergency / query.
•
• In the physical presence of Observer / Supervisor (deputed by NITTTR, Chandigarh), sealed boxes
of OMR answer sheets to be opened at exact 10.30 AM and all sealed boxes/envelopes of
Question paper at exact 10.40 AM.
•
• Videography of opening of sealed box of OMR answer sheets and Question papers is mandatory.

Room Wise Distribution of exam materials following proper timelines:
• It is to be ensured that the OMR and stationary reaches to each and every room before 10:40 AM as it has to
distributed at least 20 minutes before the start of exam
• It is to be ensured that the Question Paper and Attendance reaches to each and every room before 10:50 AM
as Question Paper has to distributed at least 10 minutes before the start of exam
During the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines
RECORDING OF ATTENDANCE
• Attendance of candidates shall be recorded on a consolidated attendance sheet in the first 20
minutes from the start of exam by the invigilators. Hard copies of the attendance sheet will
be included in the box containing the question papers and OMR answer sheets
The attendance shall be recorded while the examination is in progress and not before or
after the examination
Centre Superintendent is to ensure the same shall be collected from the respective
rooms till 11:30 AM.

BIOMETRIC ATTENDANCE
• Candidate’s biometric attendance and photograph will be taken in the examination hall/room
• It is to ensure that there is a match between number of candidates in biometric attendance
and actual number of candidates appeared in the examination
• Provide necessary help / assistance to the concerned examination official / staff on
duty.

 Invigilator will collect the lower portion of the E-Admit card, used and unused OMR answer sheets and
unused question papers after the completion of exam time and deposit the same in the control room
with Centre Superintendent.
 Centre Superintendent will ensure that the counted used OMR answer sheets, lower portion of the
E-Admit card and unused question papers & unused OMR answer sheets are packed in the
respective envelopes.
 At the end of the examination, Centre Superintendent will make sure that candidates should exit
from their respective Examination Block in Odd / Even Room number sequence to avoid any rush,
i.e., candidates from Odd Room Nos. will leave first, then candidates from Even Room Nos.
 To ensure that the invigilator will collect the lower portion of E-Admit Card from each of the candidates
(bearing signatures of the candidate and his/her self attested photograph and signatures of the
invigilator) and COVID-19 SELF DECLARATION CERTIFICATE by the candidate.

TASKS TO BE DONE BY THE CENTRE SUPERINTENDENT
The Centre Superintendent must do the following :-
• Take a count of attendance of the candidates.
• Check that candidates and Invigilators have signed at the proper places (Attendance Sheet and
OMR Answer Sheet of the candidate).
• Check that Invigilator has authenticated the consolidated attendance sheet by affixing his / her
signatures.
• Check the total number of used and unused OMR answer sheets and reconcile the same with
used and unused question paper booklets.
After the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines
Check that used and unused OMR answer sheets and question paper booklets tally with the number of
consolidated attendance sheet.
Check the count of the collected E-Admit cards and reconcile the same with used OMR answer sheets.
Centre Superintendent will ensure that the counted OMR answer sheets of the entire Block / Centre are
packed in sealed envelopes and then in the box.
After the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines
After counting for all OMR answer sheets and question paper booklets, the Centre Superintendent shall
make SIX SEALED PACKETS as follows :
(i) Used OMR answer sheets (to be sealed in the New envelope provided in the box)
(ii) Unused OMR answer sheets (in the same envelope in which OMR sheets were received)
(iii) Unused Question Paper Booklets (in the same envelope in which Question Booklets were received)
(iv)Attendance sheet of candidates (in the same envelope in which Attendance Sheets were received)
(v) Lower portion of E-Admit Card from each of the candidates (bearing signatures of the candidate and
his/her self attested photograph and signatures of the invigilator)
(vi)COVID-19 SELF DECLARATION CERTIFICATE by the candidate (to be sealed in the New
envelopes provided in the box)

It is to ensure that the following forms are duly filled and signed by the Centre Superintendent as
required.
1.Opening Certificate.
2.Copy of Centre Report Form.( both front and back to be filled)
3.No Relation Certificate.
4.Closing Certificate.

  • 1. SUPERVISOR EXAM National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTR), Chandigarh Written Examination-2022 Instructions for SOC/DSOC
  • 2. Exam Details SUPERVISOR RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh is the Examination Conducting Authority for the above said examination. SUPERVISOR RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION – 2022 shall be held on 25/09/2022 (Sunday) in one session i.e. 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. 100 Multiple choice/ objective type questions. The candidate has to mark his/her response on an Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet.
  • 3. Important Timings Note :The staff assigned for Invigilation duty shall NOT carry any mobile phone / electronic gadgets inside the Examination Hall. Exam Duration- 120 min Exam Timings 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Invigilator reporting time : 7 AM ( biometric attendance compulsory before 7 AM and after 1 PM) Candidate Entry Closes at 11 AM (No candidate shall be allowed to enter the examination hall under any circumstances after the start of the examination. i.e. 11:00 AM.)
  • 4. Important Instructions No candidate shall move out of the exam hall until the invigilator has ensured the collection & Count of OMR after the full exam time is over. No candidate is allowed to go outside the room during the exam unless any medical emergency .In such emergencies, contact your SOC. Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml) and Personal transparent water bottle is allowed to take in the exam hall. Any other stationary such as calculator, watch, pen etc. is not allowed. Biometric attendance shall be the responsibility of the invigilator. The staff assigned for Invigilation duty shall ensure that mobile jammer is on & functioning properly in the examination room. If any deficiency is found in this regard, he/she should inform immediately to the Centre Superintendent. The jammer should be on from 11 AM to 1 PM.
  • 5. Important Instructions • ‘ABSENT’ in the attendance sheet must be marked using a red pen in ‘capital letters’. • On the OMR sheet, the invigilator must ensure that the fields marked as ‘*’are mandatorily filled by the candidate and are correct. Only upon the verification of these for corrections, the invigilator shall affix the signature. • After the exam starts, the attendance must be marked up to first 20 minutes i.e. (From 11 AM to 11:20 AM) • Please note that invigilator affixes signature and name on the OMR Sheet of the candidate as it is mandatory for the evaluation of the OMR of the candidate. • Instruct the candidates to carefully fill the information on the OMR sheet as OMR sheet shall not be replaced in case on any errors. • The candidate can take used question paper and upper portion of E-Admit Card with him/her.

Before the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines • Reporting of invigilators ( Meanwhile SOC shall collect the box containing OMR, Question Papers , Attendance Sheet & other materials from the Main Control Room (30-107) Admission Block basement) • Allocation of Rooms to the invigilators • Instructions to the Invigilators. • To coordinate between the officials and Observers/Supervisors deputed by NITTTR, Chandigarh. • To ensure the Start of examination is carried out in a smooth, fair and transparent manner.

Before the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines • Carefully read out the INSTRUCTIONS TO INVIGILATORS and give directions to the personnel involved with the examination to follow all the guidelines as mentioned. • • To verify that all the boxes containing question paper booklets and OMR answer sheets are sealed intact. All necessary provisions must be made for maintaining the security and secrecy of examination material under all circumstances. • Invigilator must be instructed that every candidate is given one ball point pen (contained in the box). • Invigilator must also be instructed that Candidates are given Question Paper Booklet, OMR Answer Sheet according to their Roll Nos. as Question Paper Booklet No., OMR Answer Sheet No. and Candidate’s Roll No. are same.

Before the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines Opening of Sealed Box containing OMR Answer Sheets and Question Paper Booklets • Sealed box of OMR answer sheets and Question Paper Booklets will be opened only after deposition of mobile phones by all Exam staff in the safe box in the Control Room at the examination centre. Only Observer / Supervisor deputed by NITTTR, Chandigarh will keep mobile phone with them for any emergency / query. • • In the physical presence of Observer / Supervisor (deputed by NITTTR, Chandigarh), sealed boxes of OMR answer sheets to be opened at exact 10.30 AM and all sealed boxes/envelopes of Question paper at exact 10.40 AM. • • Videography of opening of sealed box of OMR answer sheets and Question papers is mandatory.
  • 10. Before the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines Room Wise Distribution of exam materials following proper timelines: • It is to be ensured that the OMR and stationary reaches to each and every room before 10:40 AM as it has to distributed at least 20 minutes before the start of exam • It is to be ensured that the Question Paper and Attendance reaches to each and every room before 10:50 AM as Question Paper has to distributed at least 10 minutes before the start of exam
  • 11. During the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines RECORDING OF ATTENDANCE • Attendance of candidates shall be recorded on a consolidated attendance sheet in the first 20 minutes from the start of exam by the invigilators. Hard copies of the attendance sheet will be included in the box containing the question papers and OMR answer sheets The attendance shall be recorded while the examination is in progress and not before or after the examination Centre Superintendent is to ensure the same shall be collected from the respective rooms till 11:30 AM.

During the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines BIOMETRIC ATTENDANCE • Candidate’s biometric attendance and photograph will be taken in the examination hall/room • It is to ensure that there is a match between number of candidates in biometric attendance and actual number of candidates appeared in the examination • Provide necessary help / assistance to the concerned examination official / staff on duty.
  • 13. After the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines  Invigilator will collect the lower portion of the E-Admit card, used and unused OMR answer sheets and unused question papers after the completion of exam time and deposit the same in the control room with Centre Superintendent.  Centre Superintendent will ensure that the counted used OMR answer sheets, lower portion of the E-Admit card and unused question papers & unused OMR answer sheets are packed in the respective envelopes.  At the end of the examination, Centre Superintendent will make sure that candidates should exit from their respective Examination Block in Odd / Even Room number sequence to avoid any rush, i.e., candidates from Odd Room Nos. will leave first, then candidates from Even Room Nos.  To ensure that the invigilator will collect the lower portion of E-Admit Card from each of the candidates (bearing signatures of the candidate and his/her self attested photograph and signatures of the invigilator) and COVID-19 SELF DECLARATION CERTIFICATE by the candidate.

After the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines TASKS TO BE DONE BY THE CENTRE SUPERINTENDENT The Centre Superintendent must do the following :- • Take a count of attendance of the candidates. • Check that candidates and Invigilators have signed at the proper places (Attendance Sheet and OMR Answer Sheet of the candidate). • Check that Invigilator has authenticated the consolidated attendance sheet by affixing his / her signatures. • Check the total number of used and unused OMR answer sheets and reconcile the same with used and unused question paper booklets.
  • 15. After the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines Check that used and unused OMR answer sheets and question paper booklets tally with the number of consolidated attendance sheet. Check the count of the collected E-Admit cards and reconcile the same with used OMR answer sheets. Centre Superintendent will ensure that the counted OMR answer sheets of the entire Block / Centre are packed in sealed envelopes and then in the box.

After the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines After counting for all OMR answer sheets and question paper booklets, the Centre Superintendent shall make SIX SEALED PACKETS as follows : (i) Used OMR answer sheets (to be sealed in the New envelope provided in the box) (ii) Unused OMR answer sheets (in the same envelope in which OMR sheets were received) (iii) Unused Question Paper Booklets (in the same envelope in which Question Booklets were received) (iv)Attendance sheet of candidates (in the same envelope in which Attendance Sheets were received) (v) Lower portion of E-Admit Card from each of the candidates (bearing signatures of the candidate and his/her self attested photograph and signatures of the invigilator) (vi)COVID-19 SELF DECLARATION CERTIFICATE by the candidate (to be sealed in the New envelopes provided in the box)

After the Exam – Responsibilities & Timelines It is to ensure that the following forms are duly filled and signed by the Centre Superintendent as required. 1.Opening Certificate. 2.Copy of Centre Report Form.( both front and back to be filled) 3.No Relation Certificate. 4.Closing Certificate.
