This facility is a combination of buildings built
over the past 45 plus years and joined together
through single storey additions.

The pack house section has a west addition which houses lobby/entry, four offices, staff kitchen area, inspection area. The packing building has
14 ft ceiling height and is a refrigerated area. The storage addition to the east was cold storage at one time but is now used for dry storage for the
operation. The structures are constructed on concrete foundations and concrete floors. Wood framed structures with a combination of plywood
and steel sheathing on exterior walls. Roofing is steel sheathing. Interior areas insulated have plywood sheathing on walls and ceilings.
The north section is the newest dating to 2006 and is a cold storage building with 20 ft ceiling height and stores cranberries in bulk bins. It has a
lower single storey lean to style addition on the west side which has load area and berry intake, etc. This bldg is joined to the original pack house
area with single storey additions which houses, generator room, mechanical area and drying room.

Contains six beds of cranberry plantings. The majority being the Ste-
vens variety at 11.5 acres and Ben Lear at 2.5 acres.

This is the main par-
cel for the cranberry
operation. The farm
buildings are located
here along with twenty
two cranberry beds of
different varieties. The
majority being Ste-
vens variety approx
22 acres, followed by
Bergman at approx
14 acres, and a small
amount of Gryleski and Crimson Queen variety. There is another 10 acres with some
land forming etc for future cranberry development and many acres of wooded lower
lying land and marsh which supplies water to the producing areas. There is a couple
irrigation ponds that have been developed to contain the water used for irrigation and
frost control. The main one is approx 6 acres surface area, the secondary one closer to
the east of the buildings. The whole of the beds and ponds are inter connected so that
water can move throughout the operation with an extensive set of electric and diesel
powered pumps.
VICTORIA ROAD. AYLESFORD - 48 ACRES
This is a 48 acre parcel of land lying to the south and west of parcel
# 1 and is not producing land. It consists of wet areas that surround
a large manmade and natural pond, fed by springs, steams and low-
land. Some low growth woodland due to wetness.

AREA OVERVIEW
Aylesford Nova Scotia, is a farming community in the
County of Kings in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia,
Canada. It is located between the North and South
Mountains and located roughly 15 minutes from CFB
Greenwood and 10 minutes from Berwick. Aylesford is
located on the Evangeline Trail (Trunk 1) tourist route,
named after the famous Acadian story about Evangeline.
Kings County has a population of 60,600 in the 2016, and
is the third largest county in the province. It is located in
central Nova Scotia on the shore of the Bay of Fundy,
with its northeastern part forming the western shore of the
Minas Basin.
Kings economy and identity are tied into its current and
historical role as the province’s agricultural heartland. A
strong agricultural base has been bolstered by the farm-to-
table movement and a growing and acclaimed Nova Scotia
wine industry, and the success of both has also bolstered
the area’s tourism industry. The county benefits from the
profile, prestige and population gained from hosting
both Acadia University in Wolfville and the NSCC Kingstec
campus in Kentville. Canadian Forces Base Greenwood (the
east coast’s largest air force base) and the Michelin tire plant
in Waterville both provide significant positive economic
impact in the county.
