care, Fabric care and Fabric Enhancing plants located in Alexandria-LA, Iowa- IA, Lima-OH,
and Augusta-GA. At USA my role is act as a Mechanical lead and handles whole project with
team of 20-25 peoples from offshore from different discipline. My day to day activities are as
follows:
Piping Engineering activities-: Basic Engineering & Detail Engineering activities, leading
the Mechanical team, attending client / vendors / Inter department meetings, Plant as built
activities, specifications, data sheet preparation, Document / Drawing review.
Coordination between designer and other discipline.
Study the Plot plan and Equipment Layouts / Nozzle orientation inputs to vendor as per site
condition and GA
Pro-active participation in developing new techniques, Equipment layout, Piping Layout,
utilities for improving quality & productivity.
Taking care of accessibility of valves, instruments & special parts and skills with a flair for
customer interaction and a good team player. Familiar with Piping material, valve &
special parts specifications, Pipe thickness calculation as per ASME B 31.3
Conversant with Piping Codes and Standards.

Role in the Above Projects-:
Act as a site lead and lead Engineer in Mechanical discipline (Team of 20-25 peoples).
Major role is in Liquid Making. (Piping, Equipment Layouting 2D and 3D modeling with
different software’s like PDS, AutoPlant, Inventor, Cadison, AutoCAD and Microstation.
Preparation of piping GA and isometrics markups and send it to offshore to do 3D
modeling in PDS or inventor.
Review isometrics extracted from PDS as per Process piping standard (ASME B31.3) and
P&G standard
Review 3D model of PDS with SPR and Nevis works software.
Preparation of piping layout and Equipment layout as per P&ID.
Design review of PDS and inventor model with client by using software line SPR,
Nevisworks, and Inventor for clash checks with inter team / Client.
Review client tags, issues and according to update in model and also worked for revision
ISOs in model.
Involve in Technical discussion and execution related to Mechanical Design, Equipment
layout, Process parameters and Process Piping.
Preparations of Equipment layouts options and review it with client. Fulfill the client
expectation with neat and clean design standard.
Discussion with pipe support group to develop the routing of lines with possible support
location.
Role as a Project Manager:
Project Execution from Proposal making up to construction
Managing day to day activities as a Project Manager (Proposal making, schedule
preparation, Man hours tracking, Monthly invoicing, Vendor co-ordination, co-ordination
with construction team on the field, Techno-commercial offer preparation)
Initiate and co-ordinate intra-discipline meeting
As a technical lead, review layout options, piping isometrics, BOM, Equipment details etc.

requirement.
Determines and prepare project schedule (project planning, monitoring & Control) by
studying Project plan, specifications, and estimate time requirements by sequencing the
project element activities in MS Project
Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and
trends, recommending actions.
Monitor and control project schedule by evaluating project progress; coordinating
activities, and resolving problems.

Prepare project forecast sheet by quarterly basis.

Execution of whole plant layout and selection of components of plant regarding their duty
parameters as a project activities.e.g pumps, boilers, compressors, valves, separators, heat
exchangers.
Preparation & submission of export offers: Study of client requirements, selection of

Plan, co-ordinate and perform design work for complex 3D engineering models and
components using Pro/E
Prepare proto-type model of each required casting components for pump –
(Impeller, Casing, Stuffing box cover, Bearing Housing, Motor Stool Cum Delivery Bend,
Ratchet Mounting Plate, Bearing Cartridge, Carrier, Loose Stuffing Box, Gland etc.)
Prepare General arrangement drawing and Cross sectional detailed drawing of pumps in
AutoCAD
Create Production design with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances.
To check all details in manufacturing drawing regarding all input requirements for product
to be manufacture, functional requirements, selection of proper tolerance zone and fit
required in final assembly.
Prepare product drawings & specifications. Recommend design output for approval to Asst
Manager / Head Product Design.
To release Bill of Materials against order.
Maintain the records and archive drawings / product documents & related correspondence /
data including national and international standards.
