Defined by Webster’s Dictionary •Definition of meditate. 1 : to engage in contemplation or reflection He meditated long and hard before announcing his decision. 1 : to focus one's thoughts on : reflect on or ponder over He was meditating his past achievements. 2 : to plan or project in the mind : intend, purpose.
- 3. During uncertain, and turbulent times- During these uncertain, and turbulent times we are all forced to deal with varying degrees of emotions as a result of- “it all.” We are bombarded with information, situations, media, and “ETC.” All day, and every day. Some of us turn to exercise, family, friends, music, outdoor adventures/escapes, religion, vice(s), and/or prayer/meditation. In order to maintain some sort of internal balance, to soothe, and calm our soul/spirit. Also, as a means of shielding, protecting our soul/spirit “against”, and in the “midst” of it all-
- 4. The Practice of Meditation The practice of meditation goes beyond gender, national/cultural origin, race, religion, and/or sexual preference. This practice is a way of life for finding balance, calming the mind. For protecting, relieving, and soothing your internal being. For your soul/spirit.
