• What is the problem?
• How do you know this is a problem?
• How do you know how, when, where and
  with whom to have it?

• What stops you from changing?
• What hidden benefit do you get from this
  behavior?

• How does this limit you?
• What would happen in 10 years if you
  keep this problem?

• S pecific
• Measurable
• A ttainable
• R esult-oriented
• T ime-bound
         Write down your goals.
Identify the well-formed outcome

• What do you want specifically?
  – Stated in the positive
  – Needs to be within your control
  – Appropriate chunk size
• How will you know when you have it?
• What will you see, hear and feel?
Identify the well-formed outcome

• How will that affect family, friends, job,
  health, your feelings and overall situation?
• What else will improve?
• What will that get for you or allow you to
  do?
Identify the well-formed outcome

• Is it worth the effort it will take to get there?
• What prevents you from having this
  outcome right now?
Identify the well-formed outcome

• What resources do you have and what
  resources do you need to reach your
  outcome?
• Have you done something similiar before?
  Do you know anyone who has?
• What would happen if you act as if you had
  already achieved your goal?
Identify the well-formed outcome

• How are you going to get there? Is there
  more than one way to reach your goal?
• What is the first step you can take?
What is one of your
 long-term goals?

  formula.
