1. How to Contribute Content
to
TAPinto.net

2. ► On the homepage toolbar, click: Login
Log in/Sign Up

3. ► First time users, click: Register Here
First Time Users

4. Create Your Login
► Enter email and password. If you do not want to receive E-news, un-
check the box “I want to receive E-news from TAP.” If you want E-
news, scroll down to select your preferences.

5. Set Your News Preferences
► Select the TAPinto site(s) you would like to receive enews from. Select
the frequency of delivery and agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy
Policy. Click Sign Up

6. ► Enter username or email address and password.
► Click Sign in.

7. You Are Now Logged In
► The system will register your login on the green toolbar, on the left-
hand side of the homepage: “Signed in successfully.”

8. Contribute Content
► Select “Submit Content” on right side.

9. ► To create a press release/announcement, letter to the editor, candidate
statement or news, click: Press Releases/Announcements
Create an Article

10. Enter Article Information
► Enter title, byline and ONE town where you want your article to be
published (you can suggest additional towns). Choose the categories
for your article in the drop-down menu.

12. Submit Calendar Event Listing – For Profit

13. Calendar Event Listing – For Profit
Enter event name, followed by date & time.

14. Calendar Event Listing – For Profit
► Enter in the address information and contact info.
► Enter description and which towns you’d like to post.

► Add photos and submit listing.

16. Post Calendar Event Listing – Basic (non-profit)
Select Nonprofit.
“Event Type” will pop up,
select “Basic (free).

► Enter address info, followed
by contact info.

► Enter the description of your
event.
► Select which towns in which
you would like your event to
show up.

the Business Name along

► Select the logo you
would like to use for
your business.
► Add any additional
photos you would like to
use.

► Enter all of the information about your
business.

► Type in the description
of your business.

► Select “nonprofit”. At that point
“Business Listing Type” will
show up. Select “Basic (Free)
► Enter in your business
information along with the
towns.

► Enter in your business information.

► Enter in the description of your business.

36. ► Select Column at the bottom if you are a columnist for TAPinto
For Columnists

37. For Columnists
► Select the column in which you wish your article to appear from the
drop-down menu

38. ► Photos should be less than 20 MB in GIF, JPEG or PNG

40. ► To copy and paste text from Word, use the “Paste from Word” icon
(pictured below). Use “Paste as Plain Text” to paste from any other
program. Or, type directly into the text box.

41. ► Agree to TAP’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
► Click “Submit an article” and wait for the message that your content is
being processed.

42. Submission Confirmation
► You will receive this message once your content is submitted
successfully. You will receive an email once your article has been
published.
