The Southern Ogallala Conservation & Outreach Program was created in 2007 by four groundwater conservation districts to educate approximately 9,040 students and residents across 5,000 square miles on the importance of water conservation. The cooperative program allows each district to target local needs while also providing a unified message through shared events for students like contests and presentations, and for adults like workshops and civic organization presentations.
