Conferences & Types of conferences
1. Conferences is a meeting of people who “confer” about a topic.
2. It is defined as: A formal meeting of people with a shared interest, typically
one that takes place over several days.
3. Some of its Types are as follows:
a. Telephone Conference
b. Video Conference

1. A teleconference is a meeting held over the phone, usually involving more than
two people.
2. As teleconferencing is cheaper, the work from home entrepreneurs can get
together with multiple partners across the country easily.
3. In some conferences require the attendee to call into a central number and use a
code to enter the meeting while others are initiated by a meeting organizer who

Conferences
1. Lack of Body Language:
a. Teleconferencing doesn’t let you read the person’s body language.
2. Lack of Eye Contact:
a. Eye contact is not possible
3. Interruptions:
a. Many people attend teleconferences while driving, talking on cell phones that can create static or other noise
as the user moves in and out of dead zones.
4. No Visual Presentation:
a. The ability to share graphs, charts, photos, reports, drawings, videos, product samples and other visual
messages which are important to make sales , which cannot be shown in teleconferencing.
Video Conference
A video conference is a live, visual connection between two or more people
residing in separate locations for the purpose of communication

● Webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or a seminar that is transmitted
over the Web using video conferencing software.

● Using Webinar software participants can share audio, documents and
applications with webinar attendees.
● Google Slides has the solution for cloud-based presentation software which
allows you to create presentation from most Internet browsers

● It creates Direct contact with your target group
● It helps in Reaching your target group both live and
afterwards
● Interaction with your target group increases
● Webinars save time and money

What is Social Media?
Social Media is the collective of online communication channels dedicated to
community based input, interaction, content-sharing and collaboration.
Websites,applications,microblogging,social networking,social bookmarking,social
curation and wikis are among the different types of social media.

Importance Of Social Media in an Organisation
1. Due to its ever growing popularity organizations have placed a high importance
on understanding how to appropriately manage the use of social media.
2. How it focuses on inexpensive and user-friendly means of sharing “user
generated material”
3. It can have a positive impact on the consumer’s experience because of its
dynamic capability, allowing for the adjustment to make changes with time.
Netiquettes
Netiquettes means the correct or acceptable way of using the internet.
There are Certain rules to be followed while one uses the internet :
❖Remember the Person
❖Follow the same standards online that you follow in real life
❖Know where you are in cyberspace
❖Respect other people’s time
❖Present yourself well
❖Share your knowledge
❖Respect privacy of others
Digital audio file is made available on the Internet for downloading to a computer
or portable media player
Format: similar to a radio or television show.
In offline mode, no webcasting or streaming.
Streamed on demand as an alternative to download.
Users don't have to 'tune in' to a particular broadcast.

- Technology that allows users to visualise computer-generated images in the
real world perspective by the use of softwares.
