3. QR CODE - INTRODUCTION
QR codes aren't a new concept. They've been around for more than
25 years, in fact. They appear to be everywhere now: on restaurant
patio tables to access online menus, on doors to aid contact tracking,
and in businesses for contactless payment. You can also find them in
your Toronto Star: codes that can be scanned to gain access to
unique online info. The QR code, often known as a "quick response
code," is the next generation of barcodes. It encodes information
horizontally and vertically rather than just horizontally, allowing it
to hold a lot more data.

4. HOW DOES QR CODE HELPS IN TRACKING COMPANY’S WORK?
Companies and enterprises that want to track and analyse marketing initiatives can profit from dynamic QR codes.
They are simple to make, adaptable for a wide range of applications, and simple to execute. They can also give you a
lot of useful information.
For organisations and businesses
across the world, the data offered by
QR codes has opened a lot of doors.
Tracking QR codes allows these
businesses to focus on increasing
sales, increasing their brand's social
media presence, and further
studying client interaction by
monitoring scan performance and
user insights.
Aspects of Business
A single QR code scan yields a
wealth of data. This fresh data,
which might include statistics like
the number of scans, scan time,
frequency, and traffic, is constantly
being gathered and made available.
Companies can increase their
marketing efficiency by using QR
code analytics.
.
Digital Analytics
The user is led through a website
that tracks their activity each time a
specific barcode is scanned. This
provides a plethora of analytics that
display data in real time. It also
enables for fast tweaks if something
in the campaign isn't performing
well.

5. HOW USAGE OF QR CODE CHANGING CUSTOMER BEHAVIOUR?
QR codes are widely used on food
labels and packaging in Canada.
According to a Statista poll, 57% of
customers scanned a food QR code
in order to learn more about the
product. The number of Canadians
who said they scanned a food QR
code to visit a brand's website is 43
percent. According to EY Canada,
one of the most crucial aspects in
Canada's economic resurgence is the
widespread adoption of QR codes.

Various countries made it essential
to know about covid systems or
vaccination information to enter the
premises during the epidemic. The
QR code has played a significant
part in the retail and restaurant
industries, with QR Stickers
displaying information from the
Covid data form. Following the
pandemic, numerous locations
began to use QR codes for
administrative purposes.

Since March 2019, contactless
payments, including QR code-
enabled payment methods, have
increased by 150 percent in the
United States, boosting QR code
adoption by 11% when the epidemic
strikes. Furthermore, nearly 36% of
Canadians say they avoid shopping
in stores that do not allow
contactless payments. As a result,
the QR code assists the customer
with payment convenience.

6. QR CODES EXPAND THEIR REACH
BEYOND THE PANDEMIC
QR codes provide an excellent customer experience by allowing
customers to visit a website to obtain extra information, download
an app, enrol in a loyalty programme, or make a purchase. For
restaurants and businesses, this means faster checkouts and fewer
staffing requirements, resulting in lower prices.
However, they allow retailers and restaurants to collect
information about customers, such as what they're looking at or
ordering. With first-party data becoming more crucial for
understanding customers, this extra benefit is a key feature for
retailers, as it allows them to better target and attribute online ads
as third-party data becomes less available.

7. IKEA INTRODUCES FASTER CHECK-OUTS WITH QR CODES
With a QR-based mobile check-out option, IKEA makes large furniture check-outs easier. Taking things to the check-
out counter and scanning them is a significant difficulty for a business like IKEA that offers furnitures of all sizes. By
creating the scan and check-out option, IKEA came up with a simple QR Code-based solution to this problem.
