Business Case: Reduction in variation of roll profile to avoid non uniform nip loading, nip width & mositure CD
profile in order to maintain product quality.
Project Details
Problem Statement: Profile variation of camber rolls leads to uneven Nip width of press/size rolls, which leads to moisture profile
variation in CD & paper break in the machine.
Goal/Objective: To improve roll crowning from existing level of 2.25 sigma rating (22.5% defects) to 2.65 sigma rating (12%
defects)
