3. SENTENCE
Definition
A combination of words that makes a complete sense is called a
sentence.
A sentence must have three features:
→A group of words./ father my is a ×
→Correct Order./ My father is a ×
→Completeness of Sense./ My Father is a banker.

SENTENCE
Subject Verb Object/Complement
I go to school
Raza works in a school
Rahim has a child
5. KINDS OF SENTENCES
There are four kinds of a sentence:
•Declarative Sentence
•Imperative Sentence
•Interrogative Sentence
•Exclamatory Sentence
6. DECLARATIVE SENTENCE
It is used to make a sentence or a
declaration. it states a fact & ends with
a period/full stop.
For example:
I went to an amusement park yesterday.
7. IMPERATIVE SENTENCE
It is a sentence that makes a command or a
request. It sometimes ends with a period.
For example:
•Go to bed, Now!
•Go close the door, Jimmy.
•Shut your mouth.
•Keep silence.
•Kindly lend me your book.
•Please open the door.
8. INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE
it is a sentence that asks or forms a
questions. It ends in a question mark (?).
For example:
Who are you?
What’s your name?
How do you do?
9. EXCLAMATORY SENTENCE
It is a sentence attempts to show the powerful
feelings, or emotions. It ends with an
exclamation mark.
For example:
Wow! Look how cool the weather is.
Hurrah! We have won the match.
We are sorry for your father’s death.
