A Trip To London
(______________) Hi, we are in London.
We are classmates and friends and we are doing our End of Year trip.
We don’t live in London, we are just sightseeing.
(______________) London is the capital city of the United Kingdom.
It’s very big and there are many things to do and see here.
Can we get a taxi?
(______________) No, we can’t. We are many and taxis are very expensive,
so let’s get a bus, a double-decker bus.
(______________) Well, let’s get that one.
It’s number sixty five.
It’s goes near Buckingham Palace.
Hey, mates, each ticket is one pound fifty.
Let’s sit upstairs!
(______________) There are lots of famous shops in London.
Harrods is a big department store.
Hamleys is a toy shop
(______________) Here we are!
That’s Buckingham Palace. The Royal Family lives there.
It’s a big and beautiful palace.
(______________)Now let’s go to Trafalgar Square. We can go walking.
Nelson Column is a famous monument in it.
Trafalgar Square is in the middle of London and there is an art gallery in it, the National
Gallery.
(_______________) Where are we going now?
(_______________) We are going to the London Eye, but where is it?
(_______________) I’m not sure.
(_______________) Excuse me, Sir. Is the London Eye near here?
(_______________) Yes, it is. You go straight on. Turn right. Go over the bridge. Then it’s on
your left. You can’t miss it.
(_______________) Thank you! Let’s go!
Hey, look, there it is! That’s the London Eye!
The London Eye is a big Wheel. It’s one hundred and thirty five metres high.
You can see all of London from the top.
(_______________) Look, there’s the Big Ben.
Most people think Big Ben is the name of the tower, but actually it’s the name of the bell
inside the tower.
… And, look, there’s the Tower Bridge.
(_______________) Can we go by boat, please?
(_______________) Yes, sure! And, we can see all the bridges over the river Thames.
This Bridge, the Millennium Bridge is in the movie of Harry Potter.
(_______________)There is a Castle next to the bridge;
It’s the Tower of London, it was a prison but now it’s a museum where you can see the
Crown Jewels.
(_______________) What a great day! I love London!
But I’m very tired. We can go back to the hotel.
Let’s get the Tube!
(______________) Let’s get it!
