To Help You
Stay on Track!
There are so many products that are
meant to help with weight loss, but the
most important thing is to know how to
stay motivated to your plan.
You don’t need the best diet, exercise program,
supplements or gadgets BUT, you must know
how to get and stay motivated to do the
important things (exercise, diet & increasing
your metabolism), to be able to reach your goal.
Here are 7 weight loss motivation
tips to help you follow through on
your plan of becoming lean.
#1 – Give yourself lots of “reasons why”
you want to lose weight & maintain a
healthy weight!
This would form the foundation of your
motivation.
Start writing all your reasons why you
want to lose weight. Include every
possible reason you can think of… write as
many as possible!
During the periods when you are feeling
unmotivated or lazy or wanting to give up, it
is these reasons that would stir you up to stay
on track!
#2 – Set realistic goals and time
limits to accomplish each of them!
The next step is to set realistic goals and
time limits to achieve them.
Trying to lose 50 lbs (22.7 kg) in 2
months is very unrealistic if you live a
normal life... you are not on the “Biggest
Loser” TV show!
Set a realistic goal of losing 1 – 2 lbs
(0.45 – 0.90 kg) a week by being
consistent with your diet and exercise
routine when you are just starting.
#3 – Constantly read about other
people’s success stories!
Reading about other people’s success in
reducing their weight lets you know that
losing a lot of body fat is possible.
You don’t have to read how they did it
because we all lose weight differently, just
read about their successes and accept it
for what it is SUCCESS!
#4 – Place physical reminders of your
weight loss goals everywhere you go!
Physical reminders help you stay excited
about your desire for a lean and fit body.
You can come up with different ways to do
this on your own; however these are
some of my own suggestions that can
help you:
A.) Buy an expensive
dinner jacket/tuxedo
that is your dream
body size and hang it
on your bedroom. You
would always see a
reminder to lose
weight every morning!
B.) Post a picture of a
younger and leaner
you around your
house, car, office,
kitchen etc. to remind
you that you were lean
before and you can
become lean again.
C.) Post motivational notes around your
house. If you occasionally forget to exercise
or keep your calorie intake in check, post
notes around your house to remind you.
#5 – Let your family and friends know
that you are serious about losing weight!
They would understand when you have to
exercise and when you refuse junk foods.
#6 – Make A Detailed Plan And Stick To
It!
Look at your schedule critically and come up
with ways to include exercising and getting
healthy meals.
You need a good plan to achieve your
goals! Plan your healthy meals a day
before so that you don’t have to eat junk
foods when you are hungry.
Know how many times in a week you would
be exercising — and you wouldn’t have to be
looking for how to squeeze exercises into
your day!
Since you want to lose weight, you MUST
adopt the mindset that exercising is just
as important as brushing your teeth,
having your bath or going to work!
#7 – Use a journal to track your
progress!
You just need a simple notebook to record
things like how many minutes you exercised,
your meals, your body measurements etc.
By writing in your journal every day, you are
automatically motivating yourself to stay on
track and adjust your efforts till you achieve
your weight loss goal.
