hospitalization, the severity of illness and intensity of service using CMS DRG’s. Submitting
these reports for authorization of payment to Medicare, Medicare HMO’s, Medicaid, Private Pay
Insurance and Self-Pay stays.

Secondary Core Measure Abstractor for Hospital Based Inpatient Psychiatric Core Measures
(HBIPS), OPPS/Observation Core Measures Surgical Care Improvement and ED-

Hospitalists, Infectious Disease, Radiation Oncology, Cardiology, GI Medicine/Hepatology and
Nephrology). Responsible for managing 30 plus employees. 98% occupancy average for daily
Unit census. Provided excellent customer service to Patients’, Employees, MD’s and all
Interdisciplinary Staff. Very low staff turnover rate. Above National Median with Gallup Poll
results on monitored measures for Patient, Staff and Safety. Created Orientation Manual for new
Staff to Unit. Presentations to EHC RN on the duties of a Charge RN via hospital education
when asked. Resource for Nurse Externs and Nursing Students from three area colleges (EUH,
Georgia State and Georgia Perimeter). Served as Charge Nurse on daily basis. Accessible to
my Staff, Patients’ (including their families) and Physician’s at all times. Telemetry Certified.
Conducted daily Interdisciplinary discharge rounds with MD’s, Social Services, Chaplain and

Nursing P.C.A’.s. Safety Manager for Unit eight years (including time period as Nurse
Manager). Presentations as required to The Joint Commission regarding compliance to the
