6. Pole Height Adjustments
Beginner Position
Intermediate Position
Advanced Position
Start with pole in the upright position, your elbows
must be at a 90 degree angle when grasping the
hand grip.
At 90 degrees adjust the pole height based on your
need or ability as demonstrated here.
Beginners Position (Health) at 90 degrees minus 1
to 2 inches.
Intermediate Position (Fitness) at 90 degrees at
elbow
Advanced Position (Sport) at 90 degrees plus 1 to
2 inches.
7. Alignment of Rubber Pole Tips
And Hand Strap Adjustments
Align rubber pole tips to
face angled back, or
remove and use spike for
grass or dirt.
Adjust hand straps so
hands are comfortably snug
against grip and have
minimal play.
8. Let’s Go….It’s Really Simple…
Uses Up to 90% of Your Muscles
Stand upright at the shoulders at all
times.
Begin to walk and drag the poles with
your hands straight down (not over
swinging) Avoid excessive movement
in your shoulders.
After approximately 20-30 seconds of
dragging the pole behind you, begin to
swing and reach your arms in a
natural motion. Increasing your swing
as if to shake someone's hand.
Swing arms naturally (not over
gripping) yet as you progress and feel
comfortable begin to squeeze with the
pole plant, press down and back
against strap, as you propel forward,
with your stride ending a push and
release your grip.
