The document describes a student's design for a badminton logo and poster. The student chose the shape of a circle and squiggle for the logo to represent that they are a people person and creative. For the poster, they chose the quote "If you give a girl the right shoes, she can conquer the world" to encourage positive thinking. A picture of the earth was used to go with the quote and show that anything is possible. Different fonts and colors were selected to make the quote stand out against the primary colors in the poster.

My Graphic Design Basics
1. Defending My Design
I chose to make a Badminton Birdie because
the shape of a circle and the squiggle
considers me a people person and a creative
person…I also help people in different
situations, feeling wise
3. Why the color(s)?
• I chose purple because I am an artistic,
balanced, creative, independent, inspirational,
intelligent, mysterious, and quiet person.
These characteristics show that I am a very
purple person….its also my favorite color! :D
That is why I chose the badminton color
purple
4. Why the shape(s)?
• I chose the shape of a circle and a squiggle
because it represents that I am a people
person.. I care about other people a lot
including my friends! I’m also a creative
person For example: I draw a lot of different
and creative things. I also think of new and
different ways to keep my self occupied.
6. Why the quote?
• It means a lot to me because it is basically
saying don’t judge a book by its cover
(including if it’s a women in general) if you
give a girl the right shoes she can do anything
in life and be successful and don’t beat your
self down think positive.
7. Why the picture?
• It is showing what someone looks down at the
world and how crazy the world can be. It also
goes good with the quote because a girl can
conquer anything….anything can happen. So
pay attention to the stuff that you do have
and be happy with what you have and not
concentrate on what you don’t have..
8. Why the font?
• The font I used makes the quote more
noticeable and makes the quote POP way
more then the other fonts and it makes the
quote mean something more to me
9. Why the font color?
• There is a lot of blue and a dark red color in
the poster and the colors both are primary
colors.. so I decided to make the font have
different colors so people can see the quote
more and the purple color makes it more
cheerful on the font. And the orange color
makes it a calm color on the font as well.
