The Chamber of Commerce is please to have available to the public a detailed map of the County of Manitowoc. This detailed map includes the all the cities, towns and village that encompass this vibrant county. Advertising space is available to members only.
The Chamber continuously receives numerous requests for business recommendations, not only from our local area, but from across the country. Providing both a service to the community and a prime benefit to our membership. The Chamber will only refer business to its members.
On the first Monday of every month, the Chamber holds a luncheon where members, and business and community leaders have the opportunity to speak with local, county and state legislators. The informal meetings provide opportunities for both politicians and business leaders to address concerns. Several times per year, guest speakers include U.S. Senators and Congressmen.
A nine-month program that helps identify and develop potential leaders by educating them on opportunities and challenges that face our community. The ultimate goal is to prepare and encourage them to take on leadership roles in the community.
Sharing the basic philosophy of the adult leadership class, this group helps develop future leaders, but is made up of juniors and seniors from Manitowoc County High Schools.
The Chambers Ambassador committee provides financial recognition to students involved in the community and associate with the Chamber. Two - $1,000 scholarships are available for students pursing a 4-year degree. Two - $500 scholarships are available for those pursuing a 2-year degree.
The Chamber's Annual Dinner recognizes the area's top business people with the Industry of the Year Award, the Joseph P. Schmitt Award, the Non-Profit of the Year Award, the Small Business of the Year Award, Education Impact Award, Cooperation and the Athena Award for the business woman of the year.
Next: December 16, 2008 at Knox’s Silver Valley Supper Club
Held once a month for all members and their guests. The hosts for these events are various members wishing to showcase their business products or services. Food and beverage are usually offered as well as raffles with prizes donated by Chamber members. Great for networking and getting acquainted with local community members!
