Mountains{Hejaz Asir Mountain Range} Mountains stretch along the coast of the Arabian Peninsula. The climate of a mountain region is normally mild. Coastal Plains{Al Jubayl, Jiddah} Coastal plains lay along oceans and seas. People who live in or near coastal plain regions are farmers who grow crops. Deserts{An Nafud, Rub Al Khali} Animals such as camels and jackrabbits live in desert regions. Most desert regions have sand dunes and are made of very small particles of sand.

Muhammad married Khadija at 25 when she was 40. Muhammad and Khadija had 7 children and only one lived to marry and have children. Muhammad’s call to prophethood came when he was after he was40 years old. Muhammad was probably illiterate but he was known for his solitude and spirituality. Muhammad would go to a cave to get away from the chaos of the city. One day when he was in the cave he had to recite: Recite- in the name of thy Lord Who created man from blood coagulated Recite! Thy Lord is wondrous kind Who by the pen has taught mankind Things they knew not ( being blind) Muhammad went home to tell his wife, his wife took him to the wise man and the wise man told him he was a prophet.
