European major FTSE was up0.43%, DAX was up0.02%; CAC dropped0.23%.
NASDAQ was up 1.29 %, Dow Jones Industrial Ave. was up 0.71 %.
Sensex fell 20.10@19639.72; Nifty gained 2.30pts@5,959.20. Active participants
refrained from long positions in the absence of fresh triggers, with HDFC gaining 1.1 %
after cutting its prime lending rate, while NTPC slipped 2.4 % ahead of a share sale. IRB
Infrastructure rose 4.5 percent as investors cheered better than expected net profit.
