2. FIELDS OF APPLICATION
ISOFLEX-PU 500 is ideal for waterproofing terraces and balconies as
an exposed waterproofing membrane. It is also recommended for waterproofing
underneath tile layers in kitchens, bathrooms, balconies and terraces,
as long as quartz sand has been broadcasted on its last layer. Suitable as well
ISOFLEX PU 500
for waterproofing under thermal insulation boards on terraces, for green roofs,
flower beds etc. Moreover, it can be applied on gypsum and cement boards,
old layers of bituminous or EPDM membranes and polyurethane foam.
In construction works, it can be used on highways, bridge decks, tunnels etc.
PROPERTIES
ISOFLEX-PU 500 is a one-component polyurethane, waterproofing liquid
membrane. It has excellent mechanical, chemical, thermal, UV and weather
resistant properties, as it is based on pure elastomeric hydrophobic polyurethane
resins. It forms a continuous, elastic, waterproofing, vapor-permeable sealing
layer, without seams or joints. It offers excellent bonding to various substrates like
concrete, cement-mortars, wood and to any type of waterproofing membrane.
It can also be applied to uneven substrates.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The substrate must be dry, clean, free of grease, loose particles, dust etc.
Any existing cavities in concrete should be repaired in advance. Porous surfaces Local sealing Local reinforcement
should be treated with the special primer PRIMER-PU 100, with a consumption
of approx. 200 g/m2.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
ISOFLEX-PU 500 is applied by brush or roller in two layers. The first layer is
applied 2-3 hours after priming and while PRIMER-PU 100 is still tacky.
The second layer should follow crosswise, after 4-24 hours depending on
the weather conditions. In cases of severe or multiple cracks, it is recommended
to reinforce locally or thoroughly ISOFLEX-PU 500 with fiberglass-mesh or
polyester-fiber.
CONSUMPTION
Approx. 1,0-2,5 kg/m2, depending on substrate and type of reinforcement. First layer Second layer
In case of application by spraying it may be diluted, depending on
the weather conditions, up to 10% only with the special solvent SM-16.
PACKAGING
ISOFLEX-PU 500 is supplied in tin buckets of 1 kg, 6 kg and 25 kg.
