As Founder, I started this nonprofit organization from an idea to increase and support the education and gardening
experience of all ages in the Bay Area. I was inspired by being the daughter of a farmer and learning organic ways to
grow food. Before starting GIFT, I worked on my own in school and community gardens developing them and
educating teachers, children and the public on ways of growing their own food, flowers, trees, bushes and vines.
a. Lead the Sunnyvale Community Garden in talks with all the gardeners about how to improve conditions
and become a more relevant organization in the community.
b. Developed and ran the semiannual meetings to organize the Spring and Fall Plant Sales to raise funds for the
garden

Garden (SCG) to the City of Sunnyvale Residents
