3. FLAG
The national flag of Slovenia features three equal horizontal
bands of white (top), blue, and red, with the Slovenian coat of
arms located in the upper hoist side of the flag centred in the
white and blue bands. The coat of arms is a shield with the
image of Mount Triglav, Slovenia's highest peak, in white
against a blue background at the centre; beneath it are two
wavy blue lines representing the Adriatic Sea and local
rivers, and above it are three six-pointed golden stars arranged
in an inverted triangle which are taken from the coat of arms of
the Counts of Celje, the great Slovenian dynastic house of the
late 14th and early 15th centuries.

6. RIVER
Soča
Due to its beautiful green water, the river is also known under
the name "The Emerald Beauty". It is said to be one of the few
rivers in the world that still have such a colour. It is the longest
river in Slovenia.
7. LAKES
BLED; Lake Bled is a glacial lake in the Julian Alps. In the
middle of the lake there is the only island in Slovenia.

8. MOUNTAINS
TRIGLAV is the highest mountain in Slovenia. It lies in the
Julian Alps. It’s 2864 metres high. Its name means "three-
headed". The mountain is Slovene national symbol. At the top
of the mountain stands a small metal structure, the Aljaž Tower.
9. CITIES
LJUBLJANA is the capital of Slovenia and its largest city. It
is located in the centre of the country.
MARIBOR is the second largest city in Slovenia. The Drava
river flows through it.
PIRAN is a town besides the Adriatic Sea. The town has
preserved the medieval layout with narrow streets and
compact houses. It's a popular tourist spot.

10. LIPICA: The Lipizzan or Lipizzaner is a breed of horse that
takes its name from one of the earliest stud farms established,
located near the Kras village of Lipica (spelled "Lipizza" in
Italian), in modern-day Slovenia.
POSTOJNA: Postojna Cave is about a 20 kilometre long
Karst cave system near Postojna. It is the longest cave
system in the country and one of the top Slovene touristic
attractions. It’s also the most visited show cave in Europe.
