When I was a child I spent my time fixated to the television whenever the All Blacks or Black Caps played. I wouldn’t just watch them I would analyze the likelihood of an event happening in the match. What were the chances of Andrew Mehrtens making this kick? What was the likelihood Jeff Wilson would score? Can the Black caps win if they all play to their averages? Many years later I found out that this would be the beginning of what people call ‘analytic’.
Finding a reason why people do things and then finding a way to either minimize the cost to the company or maximize the benefit to the company is something that excites me.
I have been called many things by my fellow employee
