2. Codes, conventions and purpose
Logos are the face and representation of a company that usually include
the name of the company that they are representing, an image or both. If
the logo does not include the name or initials of the brand, it is usually
because the image explains the name itself or because the brand logo is
already well known on its own.
A logo's purpose is to visually communicate the brand's identity and
what the brand represents.
3. Logo Recognition
The purpose of a logo is to stand out and represent the company and
what the company do. To get more attention the logo itself must be
bright and usually colourful as well as unique to attract the company's
target audience. The reason that a logo must be unique is so that it can
be identifiable to that company and that company alone, not getting
mixed up with any other similar logos.
4. Moving Logo
For my first logo design, I knew I wanted to create something a little
different, so I decided on a moving logo. Because the logo was going to
move, I didn't want what it was portraying to be too much, therefore I
decided to just have my name on it as well as picking several different
solid block colours for my background and a few different fonts. To create
this, I used DaVinci Resolve where I could simply add the text with my
chosen fonts as well as the block colour backgrounds. I also used a
transition to make the text shake to exaggerate. I also cropped the logo to
make it circular as well as converting the file into a GIF from a video.

including graphics as well
as text. I made sure that
each graphic related to
media and was a suitable
size.
