2. What is the Injury?

instability occurs.

Posterior Talofibular Ligament
Anterior Talofibular Ligament

5. What are the initial signs
and symptoms?
Swelling: due to increase fluid in tissue
Pain: throbbing and sore when pressed or moved in
certain directions
Redness and Warmth: cause by increase blood flow to
the area
Instability
8. Prognosis
Depending on the severeness of the
ankle sprain, once the patient can
walk without pain, they need to
maintain exercising to keep the
strength and flexibility of ankle
