2. Mode of address - Mode of address is how media
shouts at the audience. For example how music
magazines are presented to the audience.
There are four main types of modes. In class I
learnt about ‘1st person’ this can be used in a diary
because your talking about yourself as in ‘I and
Me’.
As well as ‘3rd person’ where this can be used as a
narrative.
3. I also learnt about ‘Formal and Informal’ modes. For
example formal may be presented in a classical music
magazine or in a letter ‘Yours faithfully’ or ‘Yours
sincerely’
There are also features that represent informal text in
different ways, for example;
Colloquial Language – This can being interpreted as
‘slang’ or words that may be abbreviated. ‘................’
And Expletive Language - This comes across as
informal as it is known for 'swearing'.
