Mode Of Address
 Mode of address - Mode of address is how media
  shouts at the audience. For example how music
  magazines are presented to the audience.
 There are four main types of modes. In class I
  learnt about ‘1st person’ this can be used in a diary
  because your talking about yourself as in ‘I and
  Me’.
 As well as ‘3rd person’ where this can be used as a
  narrative.
 I also learnt about ‘Formal and Informal’ modes. For
  example formal may be presented in a classical music
  magazine or in a letter ‘Yours faithfully’ or ‘Yours
  sincerely’
 There are also features that represent informal text in
  different ways, for example;
 Colloquial Language – This can being interpreted as
  ‘slang’ or words that may be abbreviated. ‘................’
 And Expletive Language - This comes across as
  informal as it is known for 'swearing'.
 The influences that may affect the modes of address in
  a music magazine may be;
 Genre
 Format of magazine
 Target Audience (T.A)
From looking at the picture is

genre of the magazine. Which
portrays ‘Rock’.

This shows that its informal as
its a form of ‘expletive language’
because she’s putting her
middle finger up to the
audience. This is a form of
swearing.

The way she is dressed is also
informal as the title ‘Bad Girl
For Life!’ fits with the image.
The design of

                                                                  it gives off a
