My name is Tom Davidson, and am a student at the University of Southampton. I began studying for a BSc in Web Science (Computer Science) in the summer of 2015. Web Science is a unique discipline, with an undergraduate course existing only at the University of Southampton. It examines the Web from a Sociotechnical standpoint, viewing it as a technical system created for people, but also by people's use of it. The course gives a grounding in Sociology, Research Methods, but also in technical fields. I am taking modules in Network Design, Web Development and in Programming.
