Work Experience & Qualifications
• Started in 1978 as a Bricklayer & Concreting .
• In 1980 I started my own Bricklaying Company called Baliza Holdings Pty Ltd.
- Meanwhile I was supervising up to 13 Bricklayers for the Company
(Baliza Holdings Pty Ltd).
Job included the following:
- Reading of Plans.
- Setting out of building.
- Checking out levels.
• In December 1994 – I Completed the Associate Diploma in Applied Science
(Building) at TAFE.
- I applied for Builder’s License for my company Baliza Holdings Pty Ltd.
- By completing this course I gave myself the ability of doing various
projects from Houses to Multi-Storey units with basement parking.
• At the same time I also learnt Auto CAD Drafting – I’ve designed & currently
still designing a lot of clientele plans, including Design & Construction of my
own projects.
* In 2000 – Started working as a Sole Trader & was working in joint ventures with
Architect Mr. George Katsilis (mobile No: 0414645176 )doing projects up to
$1.7 million in the Eastern Suburbs.
• From 2000 to 2006 – Currently I also developing & constructing of Spec-Homes
(Duplexes,Townhouse|Villa ect).

I was the Foreman on this project
I started from the earth works , contiguous piling and underpinning to support the
existing house which was 7 m above the proposed garages under it, also deep
excavation ,construction of a first floor ,through to finishes and landscaping.

Mr Tom Magiropoulos has been hired by me to be the building supervisor in the
construction of a three level house with a basement garage that I am constructing as an
Owner Builder.
The construction work has involved shoring works and deep sand excavation together
with substantial rock (sandstone) excavation. Further to this, the project involves
concreting, brickworks, waterproofing and final finishes.
I found Tom to be knowledgeable in solving problems as they arose, advising tradesmen
and organizing the running of the project, such as working out quantities, ordering
materials, programming of trades sequence, checking on progress payments of
sub-contractors etc
The project is of a high quality standard and is due to be completed in early 2008, and is
projected be completed within the initial cost budget.
I would be happy to employ Mr Magiropoulos in any future similar project that I may under
