1. 13U Standouts Lead Middle Schools to Championships
Brandon Jenkins (left) and Elijah Seward (right) are both only in the 7th
grade. However, they are leaders
on their perspective Middle School basketball teams. Coach Floyd Brooks describes Jenkins, who plays
at Robious Middle in Chesterfield, “as an excellent three point shooter with a high basketball IQ. “ He’s a
great distributor as well, with stats this season of 10 points per game and 7 assists. Brooks goes on to
describe Seward from Park View Middle in South Hill, “as a very athletic player who can go inside out.
He has an extremely high motor.” These are just two players from a deep and talented 13U team that is
poised for another spectacular season. Founder Tony Squire, who’s famous for nicknames, has coined
Jenkins “The Wizard” and Seward “Lil Beast Mode.” Looks like the Squires future is bright!
