Scope of report
Platform as a service (PaaS) is a category of cloud computing services. It includes companies that provide a platform and allow users to
develop, run, and manage applications. The platforms reduce the complexity of building and maintaining the underlying which is
typically associated with developing and launching of an app. The sector covers following business cuts.
The scope of this report includes equity as well as debt funding received by the companies.

aPaaS
(application Platform as a Service)
An application platform as a service refers to a self contained cloud environment for designing, building,
deploying and managing enterprise applications.
iPaaS
(integration Platform as a Service)
iPaaS is a cloud-based integration solution for both the server and data infrastructures, as well as middleware.
Most iPaaS offerings include maps and transformations for the development of integration flows as well as
pre-built connectors and business rules for defining interactions.
mBaaS
(mobile Backend as a Service)
mBaaS or BaaS (Backend as a Service) is a model to link applications to backend cloud storage and APIs
exposed by back end applications while also provides features such as authentication, management consoles,
push notifications etc
Database Middleware PaaS Database Middleware Platform or DBaaS is a cloud-based approach to storage and manage data.
Point Solutions
PaaS for Industry specific needs. This is based on a specific area of interest or generalized business processes
across various companies. Point solutions also include PaaS offerings for Data Analytics.
Serverless
Serverless computing is a development paradigm in cloud ecosystem that is a result of convergence of few
parallel evolutions such as Micro-services, Containers, Event-Driven models and Devops
