• Recent research records that parents and
the home are the strongest influence on
a child’s life. For this important reason
parents, and especially mothers, need to
be positively involved and their support
and enthusiasm can help in much the
same way as it did when their child
learned L1. (Dunn 2012)

infancy and childhood goes through
modelling - observing how others act
and bringing that into the brain as part of
the potential repertoire for behavior and
then using it in the right situations.
