    We have seen the accessibility of online data continue to shift the way technical
    professionals prefer to seek information. According to respondents, this trend continues
    as web search engines were selected nearly twice as often as the next closest channel.

    1.   Search engines are clearly engineers’ top choice for finding information,
         nearly double any next choice, so building a search engine optimization
         (SEO) strategy is critical to driving high quality traffic to your website.
    2.   Respondents said vendor websites are the second most preferred way
         to seek information, underscoring a long-held TREW belief that
         investing in your website is THE single, most important marketing
         investment you can make.
    3.   Distributing news releases to targeted trade press will increase your
         company’s exposure on industry publication websites, one of the top
         three ways respondents indicated for seeking information.
