• The UK took leadership for the
international response in Sierra
Leone.
• It built a number of large
treatment centres across the
country, which included over
1,000 Ebola treatment and
isolation beds (including a 92 bed
facility at Kerrytown, pictured).
• Over 1,600 NHS staff volunteered
to work in these facilities, with
more than 110 having spent time
in-country.
• The MoD deployed over 800
members of the military and a
wide range of equipment –
including HMS Argus.
