I am a UWC/UCT/Bard College (New York exchange program) graduate in Communications Studies with a

I have a strong desire to work in Television, Radio, Newspapers, Magazines, Public relations related fields,

Journalism/Media/Marketing and Public relations related skills. You will see from my enclosed CV that I have
gained a wide variety of both transferable and specific skills, as well as years of working experiences in the above
fields.
Television experience and journalistic writing and reporting: my work experience placement as a student reporter
and Journalist for Bush TV,(student project),Bush radio elections coverage training internship and the On-campus
news letter, gave me invaluable insight into the television process and Journalistic writing process; with hands on
experience in reporting, writing, editing, proofreading, facebook, blogging, office work and general work.
Interest in the traditional Media: My enjoyment and critical interest in the media (television, Journalism, music,
radio and new media) increased markedly throughout 8 years of my academic endeavors, and has continued to grow
since then. The interest grew as I joined the Public Relations department for “on- campus” news letter in 2005.As
a student Journalist for the “on-campus” newsletter, I have:
• Covered stories.
• Worked on column submission and photography (either taking new photographs with the paper
photographer, or getting photographs from specific sources).

Interest in the Digital Media (websites, online platforms, social media) : My enjoyment and critical interest in
digital media and marketing increased markedly since 2012. As a digital channels manager I designed and
administrated Websites and Mobile app using CMS systems and HTML.
Computer skills: During my 8 years at University I expanded my knowledge and confidence in Microsoft programs
such as Internet Explorer, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook Express. During my employment time, I have
expanded my knowledge and confidence in renowned systems like: CRM, ADOBE INDESIGN, CMS, SIEBEL,
SAP, I-CALL, CISCO, VARIOUS CALL DRIVERS SYSTEMS AND SEO. I actively enjoy researching on the
Internet, and have a basic understanding of basic computer programs. My keyboard speed and accuracy has been
increased by my recent database, in vision and word programs work at Foschini group as a Data capturing agent.
Writing/research skills: My experience as a student and Journalist has proven my ability to express critical
opinions within a sustained argument. A high level of research, conceptualization, analytical reading and
critical writing, was essential to reach this standard. The experiences of writing articles/reviews,
proofreading, editing articles and news letters as well as reporting to my editors increased my confidence in
