Over the last 20 years, our research team has conducted numerous studies that have provided California policymakers with timely and relevant information
about the state’s physician workforce. In 2007 we entered into a partnership with the Medical Board of California to analyze responses to a mandatory
survey that physicians are required to complete as part of the licensure renewal process and to field supplemental surveys on physicians’ participation in Medi-
Cal and availability of electronic health records.
